Feeling completely uninspired. So sit down to write a post about feeling uninspired and how to find inspiration. There are a number of ways.
Check your email. See if anyone has sent you information about something new that is exciting to them and relevant to your site, something you can share with your followers. Sometimes someone else’s excitement is almost as good as your own! Ask your subscribers to share what they are excited about!
Scroll through the sites you regularly follow to see what’s new. Maybe something has come out that you weren’t aware of yet, and now is the perfect time to take some time to learn about it and write a blog post about it. This sort of blog can be ended with an invitation to your consumers to share what they have seen on the ever-expanding internet over the past week.
Pick a feature on your site and highlight it. Not everyone who comes to your site is going to use all that your have to offer. And even if they do, they might use various features in ways you hadn’t quite expected. There’s nothing wrong with highlighting an already in-use feature or section of your website, and talking about how you intended it to be used. Be sure to finish off the blog with an invite to your readers to tell you about how they use this particular feature on your site!
Write yourself a to-do list. Sometimes there really isn’t a post hiding inside you today, but maybe you can share with your viewing audience about some of the plans you have for the future of the site. Maybe there’s a new project on the horizon or a launch date for a current project. Try not to project too far into the future and get yourself caught up explaining might-be’s. Stick to the factual plans. But you can certainly ask your readers to tell you what they’d like to see next on your site.
Some people use blog prompters. There are many, many, MANY websites out there to help you with exactly this problem. Open up a search tab and put in the phrase “blog prompts”. You will find a whole whack of suggestions just waiting to help. You can even add a keyword for your chosen field, like “blog prompts about marketing” and narrow your search down. Again, reach out to your readership and see if they have any favourite blog prompt sites bookmarked that they are willing to share with you!
And if you really just can’t make the creative juices flow, don’t worry, your readers will understand if you don’t put out a long blog for the day, especially if you placate them with an adorable kitten:
